Hi,
Just launching our new ‘not-for-profit’ project which is centred on working with the 49 poorest developing countries as defined by the UN and the poorest regions in the rest of the World where many are also trapped and struggling to survive and move forward.
We decided not to register this project as a ‘charity’ or an ‘NGO’ because we do not wish to be captured and driven by much of the red-tape criteria they bring. That said we plan to work with them and help where we can.
More importantly we will be working with the people who have a need to say on what they want for their communities to move forward.
Our main thrust is to establish contacts in each of the places and provide independent media channels and support to facillitate and nurture ideas for economic development of individuals and small communities, whilst lobbying hard for effective infrastructure development that shows a high degree of joined-up-thinking.
The project will also be examining the question we are all tasked with – Can we afford to go-green and how?
We believe that there are many people who may wish to be involved in these subjects, either as a hobby, educationally, as a team, or from a business perspective.
